Tailwind

How Tailwind handles your data

Draft, October 2026. Plain words first; the legal version follows before launch.

What we keep

Your name, email and a hashed password. The workouts you upload or sync, with their GPS tracks, heart rate and power. Your plan, thresholds, goal events and body metrics such as weight. Notes between you and your coach.

Who sees it

Only you, and coaches you have accepted. A coach sees your plan, goals, workouts and notes, and your Fitness, Fatigue and Form. They stop seeing anything the moment you stop sharing. An athlete with two coaches: each coach sees your notes and their own, never the other coach’s.

Workouts that came only from Strava are for you alone, as Strava requires: coaches never see them, and they never go to an AI model.

Claude

When a coach opens a drafted reply, Tailwind sends Anthropic’s Claude what that coach can see about the flag: your first name, the workout, your note and recent load. The draft is only a suggestion; nothing is sent to you until your coach sends it. Anthropic does not train on this data.

Where it lives

On a server and backups in Germany (Hetzner). Backups are encrypted and kept for 30 days. Connected-app keys are encrypted at rest.

Your choices

Under Account you can download everything you’ve put in, or delete your account and all of it. Disconnecting Strava removes the workouts that came only from Strava.
